Day 1 Depart USA Overnight flight to Paris. Day 2 Arrive Paris (2) We transfer you to your hotel on your arrival in Paris. Tonight, after a welcome drink with our Tour Director, why not enjoy an illuminations tour? Hotel: Villa Modigliani (2 nights) Day 3 Paris sightseeing Today's sightseeing with a local guide includes the ascent of the Eiffel Tower to the second level, a visit of Notre Dame Cathedral and views of the Champs Elysées, Arc de Triomphe and much more. The rest of your day is free. Tonight, perhaps enjoy a lively Parisian cabaret.
Day 4 Paris – Avignon An early start as we drive along the 'Autoroute du Soleil', past Auxerre and through the vineyards of Burgundy to the Rhône Valley. Stopping at Tournus we visit the Abbey church of St. Phillibert before driving to Avignon. Hotel: Mercure Avignon Süd
Day 5 Avignon – Aix-en-Provence An orientation shows us the Palace of the Popes and the famous Bridge. Next, we stop at the 2,000 year old aqueduct, the 'Pont du Gard'. Then on to Les Baux-de-Provence visiting the village on foot before driving through Les Alpilles and Van Gogh country to Arles seeing the Roman amphitheatre and Romanesque Cathedral. Later, on to the spa-town of Aix-en-Provence for the night. Hotel: Bleu Marine	Day 6 Aix-en-Provence – Cannes (2) First via Grimaud and the ruins of its Château. Then a scenic drive through the Maures Hills brings us to the coast and St. Tropez with time for film star spotting! Today's highlight is our boat cruise from St. Tropez to Ste. Maxime. We rejoin our coach for the pretty drive to Cannes – home of the Film Festival and for our two night stay! This evening, we enjoy a dinner of local specialities in a typical restaurant. Hotel: Amarante Cannes (2 nights)
Day 7 Cannes – Nice & Monte Carlo Some free time explore the French Riviera. Later we'll enjoy an included excursion to Nice to drive along the Promenade des Anglais and visit the Place Massena. Afterwards we drive on to Monaco to visit Monte Carlo! Day 8 Cannes – Lyon First we stop at Entrevaux. Then past the artificial Lake of Castillon to Digne before we reach Sisteron on the Route Napoleon. Next we enjoy an Alpine drive along the Col de la Croix, via Grenoble to Lyon. Hotel: Mercure Saxe Lafayette
Day 9 Lyon – Paris This morning we will drive via the vineyards of Macon en route to Dijon, famous for its mustard, where we see the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy. From here we drive back to Paris. This evening, why not take a relaxing cruise on the Seine? Hotel: Sofitel CNIT La Defense Day 10 Paris – USA Today it's 'au revoir' Paris as we transfer to the airport for our return flight to America.
