Day 1 Depart USA
Overnight flight to London.
Day 2 Arrive London (6) On arrival and after checking into your hotel, the
rest of the day is free for you to relax or begin your exploration of
England's lively capital.
Day 3 London sightseeing You start your day with a half day's introductory
sightseeing tour. See Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and
Buckingham Palace. The rest of the day is at leisure to discover more of
London for yourself or shop in Oxford and Regent Streets and the exclusive
designer boutiques along Bond Street - not to mention the many temptations
offered by famous Harrods in Knightsbridge. |

Day 4 London at leisure A full day to explore and learn. Wander through Hyde
Park, visit an exhibition in one of Kensington's museums or call in at Madame
Tussaud's. Or maybe take an excursion to Royal Windsor to visit Queen
Elizabeth's famous castle. This evening, you may wish to attend one of
London's top stage productions.
Day 5 Excursion to Stratford-upon-Avon You will enjoy a full day's
sightseeing trip to William Shakespeare's home town, Stratford-upon-Avon, with
its half-timbered Elizabethan architecture and rich tradition as a place of
literary pilgrimage. We also see his birthplace and Anne Hathaway's Cottage, a
picturesque farmhouse in the nearby village of Shottery. This afternoon we
drive back to London for overnight. |
Day 6 Excursion to Bath Superb Georgian architecture is revealed on a
visit to the spa-town of Bath. Here sightseeing includes a tour of the Roman
Baths and the Abbey. Then across Salisbury Plain to see the ancient monoliths
at Stonehenge before returning to London past Runnymede, where King John
sealed the Magna Carta in 1215.
Day 7 London free day On your final day, why not visit the Victoria and
Albert Museum or blend into the 'in crowd' in Notting Hill with its many cafés
and antique shops? Or take a river cruise along the Thames to the Tower of
London and on to Greenwich, home of the Royal Maritime Museum and the Cutty
Sark.
Day 8 London – USA Farewell as we transfer to the airport for our return
flight to America. |
