This classic tour features mystic Mont St. Michel, historic D-Day landing
beaches, the legendary Bayeux Tapestry. Highlighted by Fontainebleau and the
glorious châteaux and wines of the Loire Valley.
Day 1 Depart USA Overnight
flight to Paris.
Day 2 Arrive Paris On arrival in Paris we transfer you to your
hotel. Late afternoon sightseeing takes us up to the second level of
the Eiffel Tower, a guided visit of Notre Dame Cathedral plus views
of Champs Elysées and more. Tonight enjoy a beverage with our
Tour Director. Hotel: Libertel Terminus EST
Day 3 Paris – We drive via Rouen,
where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake. Then on to Honfleur and the
resort cherished by Proust, Cabourg.

Day 4 Cabourg – Bayeux – Mont St. Michel Today we discover the
Normandy Coast visiting the landing beaches of the 1944 campaign and
the Omaha Military Cemetery (remember 'Private Ryan'). Then on to Bayeux
to visit the Tapestry Museum before we reach Mont St. Michel.
Here we visit the incredible Benedictine Abbey with time to explore. Hotel: Hotel de la Digue

Day 5 Mont St. Michel – Amboise (2) Via Château Gontier to Angers,
dominated by its château, before we drive through the Loire Valley, a
region renowned for its châteaux and vineyards. Next we sample a recent
vintage on a visit to a wine cellar in Saumur. Hotel: Novotel Amboise (2 nights)
Day 6 Châteaux Excursion Today with a colorful local guide, we visit
fairytale Chenonceau, Catherine de Medici's château. Next, on to Chambord
to view the largest château in the region before we return to Amboise.
Here we'll visit the château which dominates the town where Leonardo da Vinci
died. Time later to explore.
Day 7 Amboise – Paris (2) Our first stop is at Chartres to visit
the Cathedral. Next, we visit the Palace of Fontainebleau, before our
drive back to Paris. Hotel: Renaissance Paris La Defense (2 nights)

Day 8 Paris free day Sightsee further or shop in the boutiques. Browse
around the Left Bank or cruise on the Seine.
Day 9 Paris – USA Farewell as we transfer to Charles de Gaulle
Airport for our return flight to America.
